Welcome

What’s New? It’s summer so it must be swim lessons.

The pool is Whitehall’s signature facility. Kids are drawn to it like a magnate. Give yourself peace of mind knowing your child can swim. Give your child the gift of confidence knowing he or she can swim and enjoy the water. Lessons will be offered by our Life Guard June 15-25th and July 6-16th. If you are interested please fill out an application and return it to our property manager CAS at 767-3949.

June 15-25th   July 6-16th

Whitehall is a diverse community of 738 homes, centrally located in Dorchester County, convenient to public schools, recreation facilities, public golf courses, Charleston AFB / Charleston International Airport, multiple shopping centers, hospitals, and plenty of good restaurants.

Our community is comprised of single family detached homes and operates under Covenants and Restrictions intended to maintain the quality of life for residents and the value of property of our owners. There are two separate legal groups in the neighborhood. The Whitehall Property Owners Association (WPOA) and the Whitehall Amenity Association (WAA).

Every home in Whitehall is a part of the Whitehall Property Owners Association.  Its Board of Directors is comprised of elected, dedicated members who protect your interests as property owners and keep you aware of changes happening in the area and how they will affect us.  The maintenance and landscaping of the common areas, as well as the entrances from Dorchester Road, are the responsibility of the WPOA.  Enforcing the Covenants and Restrictions fairly, equally, and for the benefit of everyone is another main priority.

The Whitehall Amenity Association (WAA) is a separate organization for those homeowners in the community who choose to use the Amenity Center.  WAA owns the pool, playground, and tennis courts and governs the use of these facilities.  The WAA has its own board of directors and a separate operating budget supported by annual dues collected from the WAA membership.  Use of the facilities is strictly limited to members of the Amenity Association and guests who are not residents of Whitehall.  If you wish to join, please contact any Amenity Board member listed below.

The nine-member WPOA Board of Directors is elected to three-year staggered terms at the annual spring association meeting.  The officers of the board are elected by the board members at the first monthly meeting following the Annual meeting.

The WPOA Board meets monthly in open session at the Ashley Fire Station located on Dorchester Road in front of the Robert Bosch Corporation.  Meeting dates are posted on our community bulletin board near the Amenities Center on Netherby Road.

The two associations combine to provide three or four events each year.  There is a Spring social with Easter egg hunt for the younger children each spring as well as well as a holiday visit from Santa combined with a visit from the local Fire Department with a fire truck for the younger children to examine. There is also a teen social at the pool each year.  We ask that families bring a dish for the picnic events.  We supply pizza for the teen party.

During the Christmas holidays we have a home decorating competition in several categories.  It is well worth an evening of walking or riding through Whitehall to see some truly outstanding home presentations.

Your Board of Directors is delighted that you have chosen Whitehall as your home and we want to make your life here as enjoyable as we can.  The Board is here to serve you and create an environment of harmony and cooperation.

This web site contains a series of informational documents including an outline of the basic elements of the associations covenants and restrictions.  It also contains a document prepared by the Architectural Review Committee communicating the basic elements of expectations and requirements of property owners in maintaining their homes and surroundings at certain standard intended to enhance the appearance of the community and retain or increase the value of your home.

After you have reviewed this web site, please contact Community Associations Services (CAS) LLC, our property management company at 767-3949 (Anna Tuten) or me with any questions you may have regarding Whitehall.  We have several committees that work on community projects and plans.  We hope you will join a committee of particular interest to you and your family.  We need every resident to feel they are part of the process of creating a dynamic and vital community.

With warm regards,

Bob Perkins

President, Whitehall Property Owners Association
